I know people who are covered by Sonnet and they didn’t make a down payment… why do I have to?

We’ve been introducing down payments since February 2018 and it’s a method that’s permitted by our provincial regulators. We want to make our quoting and purchasing experience as easy, seamless and secure as we can. Taking an instant down payment eliminates the risk of receiving incorrect payment information, which can lead to the cancellation of a policy due to non-payment. Making this down payment will give you peace of mind in knowing that your coverage is secure.

Possible savings of over $600 annually is based on survey responses of 10,586 customers who purchased an insurance policy with Sonnet Insurance Company between July 2020 and February 2021 in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec. 17% of survey respondents indicated that their monthly price with Sonnet was over $50 lower than what they were currently paying.
