How does earthquake coverage work?

Earthquake coverage covers loss or damage to your home and personal belongings caused by tremors or shaking from an earthquake. And, in case you can’t live in your home afterward, we’ll also pay for your moving and temporary living costs. One thing to note – this doesn’t cover loss or damage caused by flood or tsunamis triggered by an earthquake.

You should also know that your earthquake deductible (the amount you have to pay) is a percentage of the limit for the coverage you claim. This means that even though earthquakes may not happen very often, when they do your deductible can add up quickly. But it will still be much less than what you’d pay if you didn’t have earthquake coverage.
