Think of it this way – if you’re lending your vehicle, you’re also lending your insurance. As the owner, you’re responsible for any damage or injuries your vehicle causes. Also, you could have a clean driving/claims history but if you lend your car to someone and they get into an accident, it’s your driving/claims history that’s going to be affected.
