If you live in Alberta
If you live in the rest of Canada, excluding Alberta
Follow these steps to cancel:
1. Log in to your Sonnet account.
2. Select the policy you’d like to cancel.
3. Click Edit policy.
4. Select Cancel policy and Continue.
5. Select cancellation date. We’ll also ask why you’re cancelling.
6. Follow the instructions to cancel your policy. After cancelling, you’ll still have access to your account to review your cancelled policy or get a new quote in the future.

Payments owing or refunds after cancelling
Depending on your cancellation date, we may owe you money or you might owe us. If you owe us a payment, or we owe you a refund, we'll notify you by email within two business days. If a payment is scheduled on or near your chosen cancellation date, it may still be processed.
Mid-term cancellations may incur a short-rate cancellation charge.
