What is Wildfire Defense Systems?

Wildfire Defense Systems (WDS) is a service that reduces the risk of fire damage to your home before a wildfire arrives. WDS will take preventative measures to improve your home’s fire resilience if your home is threatened by an active wildfire. We offer WDS services to eligible properties.

WDS services may include:

  • Temporarily relocating flammable materials such as propane tanks, firewood, outdoor furniture to reduce the risk of ignition
  • Clearing brush/vegetation and pruning trees and shrubs
  • Ensuring doors, windows, garages are closed
  • Applying a biodegradable, non-toxic fire retardant on combustible material
  • Creating a buffer around structures on your property

Heads up! Accessing your property to carry out this service is based on safety, weather conditions and proximity to the wildfire. There’s no guarantee that WDS will be able to protect your home.
